Portable Pen
This design is for a portable, indoor rabbit hutch, but would also work well for chicks. I had an apartment-dwelling friend who loved chickens, but could not keep them. What I would do was get new chicks and let her have them for a month or two, until she thought they were ready to go outside. Something like this would have been terrific, and can also be wheeled outdoors or used as a "coop within a coop" for a new flock of chicks as it joins an existing flock.
