...yet again!
i think one of my girls has a hormonal imbalance
i've been getting one egg a day for the last week or so
...not that I'm complaining ..beats the hell outta the pale store-bought ones

Mon, January 5, 2009 - 5:52 PMhard to tell.. but the days are getting longer (doesnt seem like it here in the pacific northwest) and photo period realy impacts laying.. out of 20+ layers I am now getting 6 eggs a day... granted some of these are under 12 hour lights, but the natural birds are really starting to lay again... -

Sat, January 17, 2009 - 11:43 AMA pro told me that when chickens moult, they lay fewer eggs. In our case I believe that to be true.
