Humanized Rescue Chicken

We live on a corner near a busy street so lots of people have noticed that we have chickens, which is mostly great. When people find lost birds (chickens or ducks) they come to us, and usually the owners come around to us looking. Recently we took in a rescue pullet which had been raised in an apartment and was *very* humanized. After almost two weeks with the flock she is still very humanized, constantly following us around and escaping to try and come into the house.

Any suggestions on how to accelerate her accepting that she is a chicken and to help de-humanize her without being cruel?

Can you find her a new home? Say, with a mature/elderly person, or a responsible kid who won't hurt her? She could be a real catch as a companion for someone.

I raised my chicks in the kitchen and they still wait outside the windows and glass doors, watching us inside the house, and they too sneak into the house any chance they get. (They like cat food, too...)

I guess we're just used to it, I like seeing them perched on the window sill or the deck, it's cozy.

I haven't found any way to control chickens other than feeding them or confining them with a high fence.
